GIGABYTE Launches MO27Q28GR OLED Gaming Monitor in Australia, the Only Brand Offering Both Glossy and Matte 4th Gen WOLED Options

GIGABYTE, the world’s leading computer brand, announces today the MO27Q28GR, a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor featuring a glossy OLED panel, is now available in Australia. Building on the success of the MO27Q28G, this new variant expands the lineup to offer greater flexibility for gamers and creators. With both glossy and matte options available, GIGABYTE becomes the only brand to provide dual surface choices for 4th Gen WOLED gaming monitors, allowing users to select based on their viewing preferences and environments.

The MO27Q28GR adopts LG Display’s latest 4th Gen WOLED panel with Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology, delivering a 280Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time for ultra-smooth, blur-free gameplay. It supports up to 1500 nits peak HDR brightness, 99.5% DCI-P3, and VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certification, ensuring vivid colors, deep blacks, and precise contrast.

The new RealBlack Glossy WOLED delivers deep blacks and outstanding clarity. Its zero-haze optical layer reduces light diffusion to maintain rich dark details even in bright settings. Combined with an advanced anti-reflective coating, it suppresses reflections for a clean, immersive viewing experience.

To further enhance HDR performance, GIGABYTE introduces HyperNits, a smart tuning feature designed to overcome the common issue of dim visuals in peak brightness modes. By intelligently reshaping the EOTF curve, HyperNits boosts brightness by up to 30% while preserving highlight details. Users can choose between High for maximum impact or Medium for a more balanced uplift in darker scenes.

The monitor also integrates a suite of tactical gaming features, including Tactical Switch 2.0 for quick resolution and aspect ratio adjustments, Ultra Clear for enhanced motion clarity, and VRR Anti-Flicker to maintain stable visuals under fluctuating frame rates, delivering a smoother and more responsive gaming experience.

Designed with a minimalist four-sided borderless form, the MO27Q28GR enhances immersion while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic. In addition, AI OLED Care intelligently protects the panel by detecting high-risk areas and performing background maintenance, while a fanless thermal design ensures reliable and stable long-term performance.
